I wanted to submit an example, but I didn't see anything that described what the requirements were for the program to be submitted. I'm sure someone must have made a test case!
What exactly is the output that is required ncluding spaces, newlines, capitalization, ending value (0 or none), bottle vs. bottles when refering to 1 bottle(s).

99 bottles of bear on the wall, 99 bottles of bear.
Take one down, pass it around, 98 bottles of bear on the wall.
98 bottles of bear on the wall, 98 bottles of bear.
Take one down, pass it around, 97 bottles of bear on the wall.
...
1 bottle of bear on the wall, 1 bottle of bear.
Take one down, pass it around, 0 bottles of bear on the wall.
Oliver Schade replied:
Hi Mike, the output should be at least all lines of the song and the last two lines (go to the store, buy some more). Please do not send the 26th version of C, C++ or Perl. Please write programs that demonstrate the abilities of your language, the structures and the concepts - use comments to explain a little bit. This is not a "shortest program" contest. Please use the "1 bottle" (single bottle) if possible. If you want, include links to your homepage. But please do include links to the Homepage of the language. At the moment I am heavily overloaded at my job. Updates are therefore slow, but no submission will be lost and I will read them all. Thanks, Oliver

I think this is one of the most sensless pages in the world wide web.
But it really makes fun reading the source for so many languages I never ever heard of. Some are quite interesting, others just Brainfuck

Nice collection! :-]

Unfortunately, the Malbolge entry is a cheat! All it does is

print "--static string--".

There is no gzip encoder, the static string is compressed to avoid the embarrasment of a 110KB source file... the Morse entry at least is honest!

I didn't realized there are so many languages. I feel like walking in a museum with all kinds of pieces: very old and very new. I like the site

madness... fun, trip down memory lane, but madness.

it was the BASIC example that got me here... (used to own a ZX spectrum 48k!) - appriciate the work and input that must have gone into making this site how it is.

nice one :)

Really cool that page =)
But there are a few things i miss:
1st: The size of the compiled code like in the first Assembler exaple.
2nd: The changelog is very short =( I would really like to read the old history...

Hah, this is a cool site. I browsed all the examples throught the other day (or night, or actually it took a couple of evenings). I just submitted an RSL version of the program, we'll see how long it takes for it to appear here.
Oliver Schade replied:
Well, today I have 130 unread emails with new examples, comments and corrections. Some of them are around 7 weeks old - I assume, I have to work to much at business... Oliver

After a six months break, the guestbook is functionally again. I hope you all enjoy the site and the examples and maybe you leave a message here.

Bye, Oliver
